Rochester (Henrietta) Incredible opportunity, company, pay and benefits for an individual who is driven and experienced with the following:Job DetailsSenior Mechanic/ Electro-MechanicalMinimum Qualifications: 5-10 years experience as a maintenance technician working on packaging equipment (i.e. Labelers, fillers, cartoners etc.) in a food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical environment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Ability to trouble shoot and repair single and multiple phase electrical control systems Ability to work with and program V.F.Ds and P.L.Cs Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints Ability to follow written procedures Ability to work overtime as needed B shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm Perform preventative maintenance activities, set-ups, emergency repairs, and provides mechanical support, during operation, of specific pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or packaging equipment and systems. Is capable of diagnosing common problems and performing repairs on manufacturing and packaging equipment on which the mechanic has been previously trained on. May assist Master Mechanics or engineering personnel in the installation or replacement of equipment and systems. Works with minimal supervision can provide instruction and training to lower rated maintenance positions. Holders of this position typically have sound mechanical aptitude and a basic knowledge of automated equipment. Also possesses knowledge in certain specific processing areas such as; liquid packaging lines, solid packaging lines, tablet presses, capsule fillers, fluidized processing equipment, etc. · Performs preventative maintenance on manufacturing and packaging systems. Typically involves following detailed established procedures. · Performs required, programmed testing of equipment or systems and requiring careful documentation of results. · Performs set-ups on manufacturing and packaging equipment following required procedures and performing any testing required to ensure that equipment is ready to produce quality product. · Assists with production operations by helping the operators run the equipment and by making any required adjustments or repairs to the equipment during production runs. · Performs common repairs to types of equipment and systems on which individual has been trained. · Diagnoses problems on specific types of equipment and systems to determine what repairs are required. · Trains and coaches individuals in the lower mechanic classifications in how to perform job specific tasks and on specific types of manufacturing and packaging equipment. · Assists Maintenance Manager in the development of PM procedures and instructions. Actively participates in all safety programs. High school diploma or GED required. Training in 2 or more skilled trades desired. 8 or more years work experience in an automated manufacturing environment. Required skills include: · Commercial/Industrial electrical systems, electrical and pneumatic controls, PLC, and VSD systems. · Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics · Basic mechanical aptitude and general machine knowledge. · Ability to work with all hand tools. · Possesses some basic machine shop skills. · Ability to fabricate simple components. · Work from blue prints, technical manuals, control schematics and other technical documents. · Perform mathematical calculations. · Work with minimal supervision and adhere to planned work tasks and schedule to meet production or project goals and timelines. Climb ladders, standing/walking 90% of time, sitting 10 % of time. Moderate lifting with up to 100 lbs. Controlled environment with a moderate amount of noise. Must wear personal protective equipment and any gowning required by cGMPs. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Required to carry a phone or pager. Senior Mechanic/ Electro-Mechanical |
